Hi Everyone. I'm Lauren. I've lost weight once before, but now I'm about to embark on the ridiculous journey once more of losing over 50 lbs.

I'm begging and pleading with you - I need YOUR help. I need all of the support and encouragement as possible. I've been trying to do this on my own and I just realized that I need to suck up my pride and rely on the kindness of strangers to help push me. I honestly have the motivation but sometimes I lose sight and fall down. Does that make sense?

So, I've got a really in depth, personal, and funny blog that I JUST started and I want as many people as possible to join me on this journey. We'll make friends and inspire one another. If I feel responsible for this blog, I will work hard. I want to make all of you proud of me. You know? The blog will be fun and not boring. It won't just say "Hey, I exercised like X times today and ate this today, here are the stats ..." It'll be much, much more than that. I'll have lots of pictures and video blogs and just a bunch of great advice I've learned and learned from others, all while documenting and narrating my own struggles.

I'm having some... belly issues and I just want to tone up or something.

A month ago, my trainer (who's fantastic) put me on a routine to increase my metabolism in order to help me lose more weight (rejoined Weight Watchers).

The routine is alternating cardio supersets and heavy weight supersets three times a week and two or three days of hour long cardio sessions.

The first week I lost 10 pounds so I knew it was working.

I am in my fourth week and am battling fatigue almost daily. I dont know if I am getting enough carbs or protein so I've been trying different food combinations though I end up overeating on some days because I still feel tired and think I need to refuel.

What should I be eating to help refuel my body and keep me active throughout the day?

By the way, this morning I jogged just over 6 miles on the treadmill.

Before workout: Powerbar, Red Bull
After workout: cup of brown rice, apple, protein shake

Still feeling a bit tired.

I've been debating whether or not I should suck it up and get a gym membership, but I haven't really come to any conclusions. I think a gym would offer the chance for a more intense workout, but I'm really self conscious, and I don't look forward to being stared at by strange people while I bumble my way through a workout. I would like to know if people here find gyms to be worth the money and the awkward social interaction, or if they find going it alone at home (or on the streets if you run) more effective. Any opinions?

On days when I jog for an hour (5.85 miles today), I am constantly tired all day even after eating well. Today I had:

preworkout: oatmeal, an orange
afterworkout: 1 cup brown rice, an orange, 1 cup of cantaloupe
2 hours later: small bowl of cereal

I'm still tired.

What else should I be doing?

I've just joined this community and i was wondering if anyone has any advise on jogging. I decided to try and burn off some of this weight i gained over the course of 8-10 months working at a bakery/cafe. Im statring an outside physical job for the summer and i would like to go back down to about 130lbs Im roughly 5.6" and right now in about 165ish. I have tried jogging before but I dont know anything. what kind of pre-jogginf stretching should i do? I often get side pains and resort to just walking. can anyone offer me any advise?

Im 18 year old girl, sadly stuck with fat genes. Lately Ive been horribly unhappy, last March I started taking birth control and at that time I was at a steady 160. After a month of birth control, I sprouted 45 pounds. It was a horrible experience, and even discontinuing the birth control didnt undo any of the damage. I started my diet of healthy eating and no soda 3 weeks ago, I was doing so good. I would exercise pretty much every day, and I would watch what I ate. Then all of a sudden I just went on a binging spree. I eat and eat even if Im not hungry, and I havent been finding time for exercising or anything (and Im not a busy person). I feel near about worthless, and the only thing Ive stuck to which is a big feat is not drinking soda. I need advice, a plan. Anything that will help me succeed and not fail again. I diet to lose weight, and ended up gaining. I feel horrible, but no matter how horrible I feel tomorrow will be just the same.

i come from a family of lazy overweight people.

i don't want to be this way anymore. 
i want to become lean and fit.
i want to be healthy and work out everyday...

however, i have a hard time getting any kind of support from my family.
usually, i just get lauged at when i attempt to lose weight.
therefore, i'm turning to complete strangers to support me.

i need to know how to get started.
i tried videos, but i get bored.
the gym's around this town are super expensive, and the people in them are snots and make fun when i walk in.
i just feel like, i have all of these blocks in front of me, stopping me from reaching my goals.
i try to keep this in mind "Obsticles are what people see when they take their eyes off the finish line."

i would just like to hear all of your opinions and suggestions, please.

» Concerning Food...
I work out 5 to 6 days a week. My normal routine is on weekdays hit the gym (weights and cardio) for an hour and a half before work. I will have a protein shake and a bowl of oatmeal before hand.

My question is what do you eat after your work outs if you eat before hand.

Today, I had a can of spinach for lack of anything else. My other option was a bowl of raisin bran and fat free skim milk.

What do you suggest?
